Home Care FAQs
Home care provides non-medical help with daily activities, companionship, and safety at home. Home health is clinical and may include nursing or therapy ordered by a physician. Many families use both.
Adults who want support with daily routines, seniors living alone, people recovering after a hospital stay, and family caregivers who need respite.
Personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation to appointments, medication reminders, safety checks, and dementia support.
We complete a free in-home assessment, review goals and routines, coordinate with family and providers, and then build a written plan. We review it regularly and adjust as needs change.
Yes. Caregivers complete background checks, reference verification, skills training, and supervised onboarding. We provide ongoing education in safety, transfers, and dementia care.
Most clients begin within 24 to 72 hours after an assessment. Same-day or next-day starts are often possible when schedules allow.
Hourly visits, part-time, full-time, overnight awake shifts, live-in care, and 24-hour coverage. Minimum shift lengths vary by area.
Private pay is common. Many long-term care insurance policies reimburse non-medical home care. Medicare does not pay for custodial care. Medicaid and VA benefits vary by eligibility and location.
